The Ultimate Power – works in us

The power of God is the ultimate power and works mightily on our behalf. I am going to set out some scriptures to stir up and encourage readers to explore the limitless possibilities of this power. The power works wonders in the lives of all who believe in God and who are ready to trust him to obtain the riches of his grace.

“Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen” Eph. 3:20-21 (NKJV)

This power is superior to all powers; it is earned, though it need be, to fulfil the divine mandate and empower those that believe; to permanently demolish the accusation of the devil, and be an everlasting banner for the whole world, and a guarantee for those who trust the Lord. It has an aim and object. You can activate your faith

“To Him who loved us and washed us from our sins in His own blood, and has made us kings and priests to His God and Father, to Him be glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen”

Rev. 1: 5-6.(NKJV)

Jesus says “I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End,” says the Lord, “who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty” Rev. 1:8 (NKKJV).

The scripture says of him,

“who, being in the form of God, did not consider it robbery to be equal with God, but made Himself of no reputation, taking the form of a bondservant, and coming in the likeness of men. And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross. Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth, and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father” Phil. 2:6-11) (NKJV).

People don’t have to believe in God to be subjected to the ultimate power that is in Jesus Christ, which he gracious gave to us. Jesus doesn’t use his name like we do; for example, he does need to end his prayer with “in Jesus name.” the power is passed to us.

“And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover” Mark 16:17-18 (NKJV)

“Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you. Nevertheless do not rejoice in this, that the spirits are subject to you, but rather rejoice because your names are written in heaven.” Luke 10:19-20 (NKJV)

John 16:23-24, “And in that day you will ask Me nothing. Most assuredly, I say to you, whatever you ask the Father in My name He will give you. Until now you have asked nothing in My name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be full” (NKJV)

What you need to do to enjoy this power is to act as these words demands that you do; believe and trust God and insist on it when the devil brings arguments. The devil will surely confront you and contest the scriptures with you. He did that to Jesus too.

This power is the ultimate power.

“And at the end of the time I, Nebuchadnezzar, lifted my eyes to heaven, and my understanding returned to me; and I blessed the Most High and praised and honored Him who lives forever:

For His dominion is an everlasting dominion, And His kingdom is from generation to generation. All the inhabitants of the earth are reputed as nothing; He does according to His will in the army of heaven And among the inhabitants of the earth. No one can restrain His hand Or say to Him, “What have You done?” Daniel 4:34-35 (NKJV)

Let this power work for you.

God will see you through – Be Calm!

The story of Joseph is a great leading to the blessings that God has for you; you will read some of it in this message. I have reproduced a full text of that part of the scriptures so that you can follow through without distractions. If you can relate to this truth, then appropriate it and let God work it out in your life. God will see you through.

“Now when they saw him afar off, even before he came near them, they conspired against him to kill him. Then they said to one another, “Look, this dreamer is coming! Come therefore, let us now kill him and cast him into some pit; and we shall say, ‘Some wild beast has devoured him.’ We shall see what will become of his dreams!” You can activate your faith

But Reuben heard it, and he delivered him out of their hands, and said, “Let us not kill him.” And Reuben said to them, “Shed no blood, but cast him into this pit which is in the wilderness, and do not lay a hand on him”—that he might deliver him out of their hands, and bring him back to his father.

So it came to pass, when Joseph had come to his brothers, that they stripped Joseph of his tunic, the tunic of many colors that was on him. hen they took him and cast him into a pit. And the pit was empty; there was no water in it.

And they sat down to eat a meal. Then they lifted their eyes and looked, and there was a company of Ishmaelites, coming from Gilead with their camels, bearing spices, balm, and myrrh, on their way to carry them down to Egypt. So Judah said to his brothers, “What profit is there if we kill our brother and conceal his blood? Come and let us sell him to the Ishmaelites, and let not our hand be upon him, for he is our brother and our flesh.” And his brothers listened.  Then Midianite traders passed by; so the brothers pulled Joseph up and lifted him out of the pit, and sold him to the Ishmaelites for twenty shekels of silver. And they took Joseph to Egypt” Gen.31:18-29 (NKJV).

The brothers of Joseph were “blind” in the spirit and were all out to do evil to a man who they did nothing to them, they did not understand him and cared less if he lived or died.

Do you know that Joseph was never a King or a Judge (or anything of such) in Israel? So where was their envy? Darkness rules the hearts of evil people and blinds them.

Evil does not always start nor end with outsiders; many major evil plots always have an insider! It is common with believers to be vulnerable to dangers perpetrated from close quarters. The word of God never said we should be ‘as harmless as a dove and as stupid as the sheep’. It says, “to be as harmless as a dove and as wise as the serpent.” Matt. 10:16 (KJV). Be warned, it did not say we should be serpents!

Always remember that God is in control and Psalm 121:3-8.

“He will not allow your foot to be moved; He who keeps you will not slumber.

Behold, He who keeps Israel Shall neither slumber nor sleep.

The Lord is your keeper; The Lord is your shade at your right hand.

The sun shall not strike you by day, Nor the moon by night.

The Lord shall preserve you from all evil; He shall preserve your soul.

The Lord shall preserve your going out and your coming in From this time forth, and even forevermore”

Don’t be fooled to believe that your destiny is in the hands of those who hate you and who would like to give “testimony” in their ‘gatherings’ of how their “god” destroyed their enemy. (meaning you – they are liars).  You are never going to be destroyed.

The facts are in the promises of God concerning you. God will do anything possible to ensure that his promises concerning you are fulfilled. That is always his way of doing things.

Joseph was actually set on course to fulfil his destiny. God was watching and was in perfect control. All that Joseph passed through were part of the plan. The brothers played into God’s plan. Don’t despair, you are on course to your rising and glory.

The revelations to Joseph were all fulfilled. You will fulfil destiny. No man can stop you.

Trust God, believe his promises to you and stay focussed; don’t allow fear and frustration overwhelm you. “the dragon shall not prevail.” Rev. 12:7-8. (KJV)

“If the enemy comes in one way, will flee in seven ways.” Dt. 28:7 (KJV)

Stop comparing yourself with others, mind your own business and walk in your own path. Serve the Lord and ‘you will not serve your enemies’ Dt.28:47-48.

Enjoy the grace of God. “For ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, that ye through his poverty might be rich.”

What you believe strongly in your heart, is what you will become. God bless you.

How to win in life – Comfort to a man of God

It my prayer that this word meets you well and brings the breakthrough that you so desire at this time. This is a special message to a person of God. You may know someone who may need these words and may wish to send it to him/her. (Please, I am not talking about “a send to everyone stuff”. Be sure the person needs it.

You may be in such a situation like a cross road, you are surrounded be evidence of the power of God but you are just dry and empty inside and it looks as if the word of God is bouncing off you. You are tempted to ask question the reality of the Lord, like John the Baptist did.

“When the men were come unto him, they said, John Baptist hath sent us unto thee, saying, Art thou he that should come? or look we for another? And in that same hour he cured many of their infirmities and plagues, and of evil spirits; and unto many that were blind he gave sight. Then Jesus answering said unto them, Go your way, and tell John what things ye have seen and heard; how that the blind see, the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead are raised, to the poor the gospel is preached. And blessed is he, whosoever shall not be offended in me.” Luke 7:20-23 (KJV)

God is control. Don’t give up. The power of God all around you is real despite your challenges. Give God the control and wait for your breakthrough.

The devil is defeated and you know it. However, the fleshed can be a real issue (this doesn’t apply to all.), you can’t understand why your “declarations” are not coming “the way you want them” see Isaiah 55:6ff.

Remember the great things God is doing around you, (even through your hands), and be encouraged. You will step into a miracle soonest, but, let the Holy Spirit take control; NOW.

Satanic conspiracy against you are destroyed in Jesus name. Let the light of his glory shine upon you even in the gross darkness of this world.

You are an overcomer and I am praying for you.

Life Changing Prayer

It is time to really change important destiny-issues in life and your right to do so is sanctioned by God.

There are some examples that forms the bases of this action and I want us to consider them.

1 Chron.4:9 – 10, “Jabez was more honorable than his brothers. His mother had named him Jabez [Painful], because she said that his birth was painful. Jabez prayed to the God of Israel, “Please bless me and give me more territory. May your power be with me and free me from evil so that I will not be in pain.” God gave him what he prayed for” (GW)

Jabez made up his mind that enough was enough of the troubles brought upon him by his name. Frustration made the mother call him a bad name. Responsibility made him seek for a change and God honoured his desire for a change.

Would God honour your desire and prayer for change?

Matt. 7:7 – 11, says he will.

The scriptures says, “Ask, and you will receive. Search, and you will find. Knock, and the door will be opened for you.  Everyone who asks will receive. The one who searches will find, and for the one who knocks, the door will be opened. “If your child asks you for bread, would any of you give him a stone? Or if your child asks for a fish, would you give him a snake? Even though you’re evil, you know how to give good gifts to your children. So how much more will your Father in heaven give good things to those who ask him?” Matt. 7:7-11, (GW)

In 1 Sam. 1:9-18, Hannah made up her mind that she had had enough of being a bed-fellow with bareness. She decided that there must be an end to her shame. She must have thought, let me give it another push and see what God will do. God changed her situation. The scriptures says,

“One day, after Hannah had something to eat and drink in Shiloh, she got up. (The priest Eli was sitting on a chair by the door of the Lord’s temple.) Though she was resentful, she prayed to the Lord while she cried. She made this vow, “Lord of Armies, if you will look at my misery, remember me, and give me a boy, then I will give him to you for as long as he lives. A razor will never be used on his head.” While Hannah was praying a long time in front of the Lord, Eli was watching her mouth. She was praying silently. Her voice couldn’t be heard; only her lips were moving. Eli thought she was drunk.

“How long are you going to stay drunk?” Eli asked her. “Get rid of your wine.”

Hannah responded, “No sir. I’m not drunk. I’m depressed. I’m pouring out my heart to the Lord. Don’t take me to be a good-for-nothing woman. I was praying like this because I’ve been troubled and tormented.”

Eli replied, “Go in peace, and may the God of Israel grant your request.”

“May you continue to be kind to me,” she said. Then the woman went her way and ate. She was no longer sad.  Early in the morning Elkanah and his family got up and worshiped in front of the Lord. Then they returned home to Ramah. Elkanah made love to his wife Hannah, and the Lord remembered her. Hannah became pregnant and gave birth to a son. She named him Samuel [God Hears], because she said, “I asked the Lord for him.” 1 Sam.1:9-18. (GW)

Will God change yours? Don’t assume he would not. Give it another push.

James 5:13- 18 says he will. The scriptures says,

“If any of you are having trouble, pray. If you are happy, sing psalms. If you are sick, call for the church leaders. Have them pray for you and anoint you with olive oil in the name of the Lord. (Prayers offered in faith will save those who are sick, and the Lord will cure them.) If you have sinned, you will be forgiven. So admit your sins to each other, and pray for each other so that you will be healed. Prayers offered by those who have God’s approval are effective. Elijah was human like us. Yet, when he prayed that it wouldn’t rain, no rain fell on the ground for three-and-a-half years. Then he prayed again. It rained, and the ground produced crops.” James 5:13-18. (GW)

Why not give it a go and pray again!

Rebecca was not content with the struggles she was going through during her pregnancy. She went to God in prayer to find out what was happing.

God heard her and told he what was happening.

What are you going through? Are you confused and frustrated about the situations around and would want to know what the years ahead has for you? Go to God with it.

Matt. 7. 8, says those who search shall find.

If you believe you will see the glory of God. John11: 40. “Jesus said to her, “Didn’t I tell you that if you believe, you would see God’s glory?” (GW).

Join me and lets pray.

The prayer focus is primarily YOU.

Many people from all over the world are joining in this prayer.

God will do it! Pray

Prayer is not a suggestion, it is God’s ordained way to meet the needs of his people. Christians are to continue in this way no matter contrary suggestions from the devil and other sources.

“Is any among you afflicted? Let him pray. Is any merry? Let him sing psalms.

Is any sick among you? Let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him. Anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord:

And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him” James 5:13-15 (KJV)

Pressures of life can drive people to doubt the presence and the power of God; that is not new, it has been from the beginning. Believers believe God and live in confidence and trust in God’s power and love.

The scripture says in Heb. 11:6 “But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him” Heb. 11:6 (KJV)

  • Whatever challenge you are going through now, commit it to God in prayer and trust him to help you. That is what God wants you to do.
  • Praise God as you wait for his intervention in that matter.
  • Be sensitive to his leading, in case he wants you to take any action.
  • Be willing to obey him.
  • Some answers to prayer may not need your contribution. Just allow God to do it.
  • Be aware that the devil and his agents may come with fear and doubt. Don’t yield to them.
  • You can pray about anything and you can pray anywhere and at anytime.

God delights in helping you. Psalm 35:27.

God bless you.

The Humiliation of A Prince

And he said, Thy name shall be called no more Jacob, but Israel: for as a prince hast thou power with God and with men, and hast prevailed.” Gen. 32:28 (KJV)

Your life is up to you and what you want out of life. We all need people, some permanent, and others temporal. The only permanent relationship is your decision.

It might surprise you to know that you choose whether to have a relationship with God or not, That is the ultimate decision you can ever make; God presents you with opportunity to enter into a relationship with him but he never compels you to do it. You are the master of your destiny.

The scripture says, “He came unto his own, and his own received him not. But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.” John 2:11-13 (KJV)

Jacob was sent out from his father’s house to prevent a big trouble between him and Esau, his twin brother, over family rights. His grandfather Abraham was very rich and passed on the inheritance to Isaac his father. Isaac was so rich that his neighbours envied him. God favoured Jacob and blessed him. He was chosen by election not works.

The Scripture says, in Rom. 9: 9 – 16, “For this is the word of promise, At this time will I come, and Sarah shall have a son.

And not only this; but when Rebecca also had conceived by one, even by our father Isaac;

(For the children being not yet born, neither having done any good or evil, that the purpose of God according to election might stand, not of works, but of him that calleth;)

It was said unto her, The elder shall serve the younger.

As it is written, Jacob have I loved, but Esau have I hated.

What shall we say then? Is there unrighteousness with God? God forbid.

For he saith to Moses, I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion.

So then it is not of him that willeth, nor of him that runneth, but of God that sheweth mercy.” (KJV)

On his way to his exile, Jacob had an encounter and God blessed him specially. The events that followed never portrayed him as blessed. He actually suffered humiliation in the house of his uncle Laban for the next twenty years.

Jacob started a family that he doesn’t know where they would end up. He could only dreamt of the fame of his father. The more he told his story the more Laban plotted his downfall and humiliation.

Laban knew that there was something about Jacob that brings success and the only way he thought he could keep him was to so impoverish him, so that he cannot afford to travel back to his home.

He tormented him mentally so that he couldn’t think of any good thing. Laban masterfully crowded Jacob with women and created family chaos that drained his power, strength and focus. He constantly changed the terms of the relationship with Jacob and set unachievable targets. It was the humiliation of a prince! God had to intervene to set him free. Evils do not last forever.

“And the Lord said unto Jacob, Return unto the land of thy fathers, and to thy kindred; and I will be with thee.” Gen.31:3 (KJV)

You might be like Jacob, Struggling against the odds to fulfil your destiny. You might have ran into things that want to choke God’s purpose out of you and you are barely hanging on a lifeline. Your frustration might be so big that you constantly sigh and groan.

You need to wake up like Jacob did. You are not going to breakthrough by avoiding a necessary conflict to bail yourself out of your quagmire. Your struggle might be against anyone but your destiny is the only heritage that you can count on for the future. Esau dropped out of God’s will because of nonchalant attitude to the things of God. He cherished porridge more that his heritage and the promise God made to Abraham.

It was never the responsibility of Laban to believe in the future of Jacob; all he cared for was himself and his family first. Whatever story that Jacob has could as well be a fairy-tale and a daydream. You are the manager of your relationships and your visions.

The word of God says, “Then Jacob got angry and started an argument with Laban. “What have I done?” he demanded. “What’s my crime that would cause you to come pursue me so violently?

Now that you’ve searched all my belongings, what did you find that belongs to your house? Set it here in front of our relatives and we’ll let them judge between us!

Meanwhile, these past 20 years that I’ve been with you, your sheep and goats never had miscarriages, I never once ate any of the rams from your flock, and whatever was torn by beasts, I never bothered to bring to you. Instead, I bore the losses myself. Even so, you demanded that I provide restitution for anything that was stolen, whether during the day or the night.

As it was, I was attacked by drought during the day and by cold at night. I never got any decent rest. I’ve lived in your house these 20 years – serving fourteen years for your two daughters and another six years for your flocks.

During all that time you changed my wages ten times. If the God of my father-the God of Abraham, the God whom Isaac feared-had not been with me, you would have sent me away empty handed. But God saw my misery and how hard I’ve worked with my own hands-and he rebuked you last night.”” Gen. 31:36-42 (NIV)

Are you a prince in shame and drudgery? You must break-free. You must go after your destiny. You must fulfil the call of God upon your life. It is your responsibility and you are the one that will give account of your life.

There may be people who feel that God created you to serve them and help them in their mission. It is only you that can determine that. Whatever you choose, for as long as you are happy with it, that okay.

You must pray to discover God’s will for your life. What is it that stirs up and you want to do something about it. What are the challenges you feel you have the solutions to? What are the things you enjoy doing?

You need to study the word of God and let the Spirit of God give you revelations as to what the Lord wants you to do.

You might have a calling to meet the need of others. You might be keen on helping the needy and weak. Are you happy to help?

Humiliation is not humility. Stupidity and foolishness are not the same as be pious and devotion. Serving God in humility might make some people to take advantage of you and cause you pain and shame but God normally shows up at an appointed time to prove to all that you are his. He did it in the life of Jacob, Moses and the early disciples.

Sometime people love staying in their comfort zones which might clearly be against the will of God.

The scripture says in Exodus 14:10-1, “And when Pharaoh drew nigh, the children of Israel lifted up their eyes, and, behold, the Egyptians marched after them; and they were sore afraid: and the children of Israel cried out unto the Lord.

And they said unto Moses, Because there were no graves in Egypt, hast thou taken us away to die in the wilderness? wherefore hast thou dealt thus with us, to carry us forth out of Egypt?

Is not this the word that we did tell thee in Egypt, saying, Let us alone, that we may serve the Egyptians? For it had been better for us to serve the Egyptians, than that we should die in the wilderness.

And Moses said unto the people, Fear ye not, stand still, and see the salvation of the Lord, which he will shew to you to day: for the Egyptians whom ye have seen to day, ye shall see them again no more for ever.

The Lord shall fight for you, and ye shall hold your peace.

And the Lord said unto Moses, Wherefore criest thou unto me? speak unto the children of Israel, that they go forward:” (KJV)

To many Israelites who left Egypt during the Exodus, it would have been better to remain in slavery, but that was not God’s plan. They had no respect to the will of God and complained and murmured. They paid for their wrong attitude.

May the Lord help you in your journey through life to fulfil his counsel and purpose for your life. Amen.

When Wickedness and Evil Increase – The End is Near!

Sometimes we are challenged by increase of wickedness and oppression. We get caught up in situations that are awful and seemingly insurmountable; many people despair for life and mourn at such times. These situations come in various forms and I am not going to single out some of them here. At such times the wicked and oppressors feel on top of the world, brandishing venom, hatred and are eager to show how much evil influence they can wield. It is not new.

The scripture says in Daniel 3:19-27 “Then Nebuchadnezzar was full of fury, and the expression on his face changed toward Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego. He spoke and commanded that they heat the furnace seven times more than it was usually heated. And he commanded certain mighty men of valor who were in his army to bind Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego, and cast them into the burning fiery furnace. Then these men were bound in their coats, their trousers, their turbans, and their other garments, and were cast into the midst of the burning fiery furnace. Therefore, because the king’s command was urgent, and the furnace exceedingly hot, the flame of the fire killed those men who took up Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego. And these three men, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego, fell down bound into the midst of the burning fiery furnace. Then King Nebuchadnezzar was astonished; and he rose in haste and spoke, saying to his counselors, “Did we not cast three men bound into the midst of the fire?” They answered and said to the king, “True, O king.” “Look!” he answered, “I see four men loose, walking in the midst of the fire; and they are not hurt, and the form of the fourth is like the Son of God.” Then Nebuchadnezzar went near the mouth of the burning fiery furnace and spoke, saying, “Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego, servants of the Most High God, come out, and come here.” Then Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego came from the midst of the fire. And the satraps, administrators, governors, and the king’s counselors gathered together, and they saw these men on whose bodies the fire had no power; the hair of their head was not singed nor were their garments affected, and the smell of fire was not on them.”

King Nebuchadnezzar was very angry at the thought of the defiance of his order about removing freedom of worship. He commanded increase of punishment to the three Hebrew children. The king deployed his mighty men of valour to deal with harmless and unarmed men; while the public watched with excitement at the humiliation that these men would soon be put into. The atmosphere must have been tensed and charged with dreadful fright. It was a time no person wished to be an Israelite. It had been escalated to a fight of the gods against men, king against the commoners and king Nebuchadnezzar against God.

The scripture says in I Sam. 17:42-47, “And when the Philistine looked about and saw David, he disdained him; for he was only a youth, ruddy and good-looking. So the Philistine said to David, “Am I a dog, that you come to me with sticks?” And the Philistine cursed David by his gods. And the Philistine said to David, “Come to me, and I will give your flesh to the birds of the air and the beasts of the field!” Then David said to the Philistine, “You come to me with a sword, with a spear, and with a javelin. But I come to you in the name of the Lord of hosts, the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have defied. This day the Lord will deliver you into my hand, and I will strike you and take your head from you. And this day I will give the carcasses of the camp of the Philistines to the birds of the air and the wild beasts of the earth, that all the earth may know that there is a God in Israel. Then all this assembly shall know that the Lord does not save with sword and spear; for the battle is the Lord’s, and He will give you into our hands.”

The above scripture was another occasion that wickedness and oppression increased against the army of Israel, who were ill-equipped to fight the Philistines and their champion, Goliath of Gath. It was a spectacle watching an untrained boy going against the odds. Neither his people nor the enemy gave him a chance. The only thing he had was his sling and the only person he counted on for support was God. Once again it was the battle of the God of Israel against the gods of the Philistines. It was like David embarked on a suicide mission. You can only imagine the vexation of Goliath and he was determine to deal with this insult and afterwards deal with those who sent him.

Evils don’t last for ever, no matter how long it takes. All over the world wickedness is being multiplied and ruthlessness is just the heading of the next News bulletin, on radio and television. The Newspapers are painted all over with pictures of violence and crime.

When evil and wickedness increases their end is at hand.

Instead of the three Hebrew children suffering agonising shame and humiliation, King Nebuchadnezzar did. Instead of David reeling in pain and blood, Goliath of Gath did. Instead of you suffering humiliating, defeat and shame, your enemies will. This pattern cannot fail for those who put their trust in God.

The scripture says in Isaiah 59:18-19 “According to their deeds, accordingly he will repay, fury to his adversaries, recompence to his enemies; to the islands he will repay recompence. So shall they fear the name of the Lord from the west, and his glory from the rising of the sun. When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the Lord shall lift up a standard against him”

Whatever you might be going through, it might seem as if the odds are against you; your faith in God might be under fire and the power of those that hate you might be overwhelming and it might look like you have no chance or support of any kind; the Lord God Almighty is there for you. Those who trust him are never put to shame. It is human to feel agitated and bothered but keep believing, the wicked shall not rule over you; wickedness will surely be overthrown. The mighty men of Nebuchadnezzar were destroyed in his fire and the Philistines lost their champion in his plot; this pattern will not fail also.

Jesus faced the greatest vile the devil could muster, he faced the greatest humiliation the devil had at the cross; the enemy did not know the “game plan”, the blood for redemption was to be released in that fashion to account for everyone who will believe. When it was all over, the prince of wickedness found out the truth. He lost. He is still working wickedness but it won’t change the victory Jesus won. You have that victory available to you if you believe and keep believing.

Prayer and Faith in God

prayer and faith 1

Psalm 34: Blessing and Refreshment for You – Always.

My heart longs for someone to be blessed today. Let it be you, beloved.

The following scripture is for you. Believe (Accept) this scripture; that’s all you need to do and God will take care of the rest. Grace be multiplied to you.

“34 I will bless the Lord at all times;
His praise shall continually be in my mouth.
My soul shall make its boast in the Lord;
The humble shall hear of it and be glad.
Oh, magnify the Lord with me,
And let us exalt His name together.

I sought the Lord, and He heard me,
And delivered me from all my fears.
They looked to Him and were radiant,
And their faces were not ashamed.
This poor man cried out, and the Lord heard him,
And saved him out of all his troubles.
The angel of the Lord encamps all around those who fear Him,
And delivers them.

Oh, taste and see that the Lord is good;
Blessed is the man who trusts in Him!
Oh, fear the Lord, you His saints!
There is no want to those who fear Him.
10 The young lions lack and suffer hunger;
But those who seek the Lord shall not lack any good thing.

11 Come, you children, listen to me;
I will teach you the fear of the Lord.
12 Who is the man who desires life,
And loves many days, that he may see good?
13 Keep your tongue from evil,
And your lips from speaking deceit.
14 Depart from evil and do good;
Seek peace and pursue it.

15 The eyes of the Lord are on the righteous,
And His ears are open to their cry.
16 The face of the Lord is against those who do evil,
To cut off the remembrance of them from the earth.

17 The righteous cry out, and the Lord hears,
And delivers them out of all their troubles.
18 The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart,
And saves such as have a contrite spirit.

19 Many are the afflictions of the righteous,
But the Lord delivers him out of them all.
20 He guards all his bones;
Not one of them is broken.

21 Evil shall slay the wicked,
And those who hate the righteous shall be condemned.
22 The Lord redeems the soul of His servants,
And none of those who trust in Him shall be condemned.

Hearing From God – Do You Know the Witch of Endor Also?

“The Philistines assembled and camped in Shunem. Saul also assembled the whole Israelite army, and they camped at Gilboa. When Saul looked at the Philistine army, he was very afraid—terrified. He prayed to the Lord, but the Lord didn’t answer him through dreams, the Urim, or prophets. Saul told his officers, “Find me a woman who conjures up the dead. Then I’ll go to her and ask for her services.”

His officers told him, “There is a woman at Endor who conjures up the dead.”

After disguising himself by putting on other clothes, Saul left with two men and came to the woman that night. He said to her, “Please consult with a dead person for me. Conjure up the person I request.”

The woman told him, “You know that Saul rid the land of mediums and psychics. Why are you trying to trap me and have me killed?”” 1 Samuel 28:4-9 (GW)

You might not know how much people know until you ask for “help anyhow”! Saul was in “big trouble” and “he needed help anyhow”. He wanted to know the outcome of the battle he was going into. He wanted to know the future; he wanted to hear from God. God did not answer him and in his desperation, he asked his followers if the knew someone who can conjure up the dead.

The scripture says Saul inquired of the Lord, but the Lord did not answer him, either through dreams or Urim or through prophets. Saul told his servants, “Find me a woman who is a medium so I can go to her and make my inquiry through her.” His servants told him, “Look, there’s a woman at Endor who is a medium.” (NIV)

His servant knew one at Endor. “His officers know a woman at Endor” (GW).

Do you know the witch at Endor also? Do you know the hidden places where people go to seek the future?

Many people don’t care how they arrive at a solution and from whom it comes from. They will tell you, “The end justifies the means”. They believe in “solve the problem and colour the testimony”. God is not enough, as far as they are concerned.

Is God enough for you?

You may be surprised how many people in “church” who know “places”, like the servants (officers) of Saul knew. Some year ago I engage someone in a discussion while on evangelism and I could not believe the things I heard. He told me awful things some people engaged in to grow a church. The discussion was as a result of an incident that happened when I pastored a church then. We engaged a local builder to build a shade for us and he was to raise a section as an altar. When I went to the church in the evening to see how much work he had done, I found him waiting for me to know what he should put in the altar place; why? I asked him. He told me some “stories”. I told him to complete the job, I don’t have anything to put there. There should not be anything there. Since that time, I had been told several stories. Horrible tales!

Do you know the man or woman of Endor? Saul did not get away with it, and God is not partial. It is a shame to deceive other people but it is repulsive to deceive one’s self.

God is enough for those who trust him. It doesn’t matter what is achieved, serving God with the powers of darkness does not suffice.
