Meet the Comforter

Many people don’t understand what faith really means and I will be giving some tips on this as the Spirit of God leads. The tips will not come in one article, we will take them in series. Today lets see what happens as you hold on to God  in prayers.

The Scriptures states in Mark 11:22-23 ” And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God. For verily I say unto you. That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be though removed and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have have whatever he saith.” KJV) This was Jesus response to Peter when Peter pointed out that the tree Jesus spoke to has dried up.

HAVE FAITH IN GOD.  When we have prayed that is what we are to do next. Have faith in God! This seems to suggest that the battle  lies on us. When we go to God in prayers there are three things that are involved:

1. The problem we took to God in prayer

2. The devil and the pressures he mounts on us

3. Our faith in God.

The problems are weights in themselves and we are eager to get them out of the way so that we can focus on other things. Then the Devil comes in to put pressures on us. He tells us that God won’t help and that we are wasting our time trusting God. He says that prayer is a form of irresponsibility on our part; that is to say,  we are not doing the right thing praying. He says we should be out there doing whatever. ( I am sure you know that when we are believing God for something we are not just sleep somewhere, even prayer is a worthy action to take). The enemy works on us to doubt God. Let me give you an example; there wa this occasion that I prayed during the night and before the daybreak the devil came with all manner of suggestions and unbelief; he bombard my mind with all sort of negative thoughts. You will argree with me that at least the day has to break before I can see actions on the things I prayed for; they were not the things that could have happened between 3 am and 5 am.

Having faith in God does not mean that there won’t be struggles in our heads or that the enemy will not bring pressures; it means that we should hold on to the word of God. We should insist that we are trusting God and that God is faithful.

Keep the faith – Believe God today to meet your needs; your need can be anything: money, job, house, health, business etc.

See you soon.

Shalom.
