Meet the Comforter

I don’t know what you have learned about the work of the Holy Spirit, also known as the Spirit of the Lord. I have personally experienced him at work. I will like you to read this message and the study, if you have not done so already, how the Spirit of God works. He wants to do great work in your life from now, if you allow him.

According to Judges 14:5-6 “Samson went down to Timnah together with his father and mother. As they approached the vineyards of Timnah, suddenly a young lion came roaring toward him. The Spirit of the LORD came powerfully upon him so that he tore the lion apart with his bare hands as he might have torn a young goat. But he told neither his father nor his mother what he had done.” NIV.( There was a threat to the life of Samson and the Spirit of God came upon him mightily to fight against the threat. It was not a passive, timid action. He did what could have been impossible under normal circumstance.

In Act4:29 – 33; the scriptures shows another threatening situation which prompted the early believers to pray and the work of the Holy Spirit was manifested after their prayers. The scriptures states; “Now, Lord, consider their threats and enable your servants to speak your word with great boldness. Stretch out your hand to heal and perform signs and wonders through the name of your holy servant Jesus.
After they prayed, the place where they were meeting was shaken. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and spoke the word of God boldly. All the believers were one in heart and mind. No one claimed that any of their possessions was their own, but they shared everything they had. With great power the apostles continued to testify to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus. And God’s grace was so powerfully at work in them all” NIV. ( Again the Holy Spirit was not passive; He manifested in a mighty way to give them assurance and victory.

I want you to know that God is not just a story. He is not just the God of history, he is God NOW and forever. You have to believe this if you want your experience of God to change. I am not telling you what I read somewhere, I have tasted it and you can.  Your Christian life must be filled with the mighty works of the Holy Spirit.
