” Herein is Love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his son to be the propitiation for our sins. Belove, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another. No man has seen God at any time. If we love one another, God dwells in us, and his love is perfected in us. Hereby know we that we dwell in him, and he in us because he has given us of his Spirit.” John 4:10-13
Beloved, peace of God be with you today. Thanks for coming around. It is important to know how God began to love you. It was not a response to anything you have done. He initiated it. He came looking for you. He even paid a price to show that love and to make it available to you. What does this mean? It means that God will not leave you. He will not abandon you. He is not looking for anything from you to make him love you. He just loved you and that is forever.
I am sure you know that love and blessedness is not just feelings. Feelings are like shadows, they are unstable; for instant you may wake up feeling very happy and excited, but if the post man drops a letter through your mailbox and you don’t quite like the content of the letter, there can be a switch in your mood and feelings. Romans 8:32 states, He that spare not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all this.” God will surely meet your need; he will come through for you.
The Holy Spirit is the assurance of your partnership with God. He seals the covenant and the bond. You are secured.
Go on and show someone some love – God’s love. Visit, call, say something that will bless someone or send a text to let someone know God cares. If God is love and if God dwells in you then loves dwells in you. Just live it out.
